Baying Hound Aleworks’ Samhain Party

Details

Samhain was the Celtic festival that became what we know now as Halloween.

The Celts believed that on the night before the new year, the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred. All those spooky ghosts and demons would run around causing trouble. They would have huge bonfires and sacrifice animals. The Celts would also dress up in costumes usually consisting of skins and animal head. Okay, so we’re not sacrificing and furry creatures and I’m sure the County would frown on us having a bonfire in the parking lot, so we’ll keep it simple.

Lots of beer to drink and people are encouraged to come in costume in the spirit of Halloween. Saturday, October 27th we will hold a costume contest, the prize yet to be determined.

Here are the details:

When: October 25-27 from noon-10:00 PM
Where: Baying Hound Aleworks 1108 Taft St Rockville, MD
