The Great Raft Brewing Company DC Debut at ChurchKey!

We could not be more ecstatic to finally showcase the exciting brews of Great Raft Brewing Company at ChurchKey this coming Tuesday night...

Not only have their beers been making waves in and around their hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana, but cofounders Andrew and Lindsay Nations are--in addition to being old friends of ours--dynamic former DC denizens who returned home to establish their very own craft brewery in 2012. As their mutual obsession with good beer grew during their time in the District, so too did their contributions to our local scene...Andrew even owned and operated DCBeer.com, along with current editor Bill DeBaun, during its initial and formative years!

Andrew and Lindsay will be in the house next Tuesday pouring the very first kegs in Washington, DC of:
Commotion: A 5.2% Pale Ale brewed w/ Bravo & Cascade hops.

Southern Drawl: A 5.2% Pale Lager brewed w/ German hops & Great Raft’s house German Lager yeast strain.

Reasonably Corrupt: A Schwarzbier of 5.5% abv showing a light, roasty sweetness & finishing smooth & crisp.

And rumor has it that Great Raft will also be brewing a couple of cool collaboration LAGERS with Bluejacket while in DC! Look for these brews in 6 to 8 weeks...after a proper cold-maturation...maybe even in time for Savor in early May?!?

There is no admission fee for this event and all Great Raft Drafts will be priced individually by the glass and in 4 oz. pours.

The Official Great Raft Draft List:
Commotion Pale Ale
Southern Drawl Pale Lager
Reasonably Corrupt Black Lager
