A fundraiser for the victims of the Oso Landslide will be held at Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen (601 W. Holly St., Bellingham) from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2014. The event will feature a variety of local beers on draft, food, live music, raffle prizes and a silent auction. All proceeds from beer and food sales, raffle tickets and silent auction items will go to the Red Cross "Oso Mudslide Relief Fund."

Since the March 22 tragedy, Red Cross has stationed more than 350 trained disaster workers at or near the slide site, the majority of which are from Washington state. Multiple shelters have been set up, and the volunteers continue to serve countless meals to rescue workers and affected families, provide counselors and case workers to help with individual recovery plans, and so much more.

This fundraiser is being put together by the organizers of Bellingham Beer Week and Chuckanut Brewery’s owners and staff. Many local and regional businesses have graciously donated items for this event – everything from beer to food, live music to advertising, and raffle prizes to silent auction items -- including beer and a slew of gift packages from local and regional breweries.
