History & Hops featuring Adroit Theory

Details

History & Hops at the Heurich House Museum continues on Thursday, June 19 when we feature Adroit Theory in their DC debut!

Adroit Theory Brewing Company is a nano-brewery located in Purcellville, Loudoun County, Virginia that makes esoteric beers with an emphasis on barrel aging. They do not have a portfolio of flagship beers; opting instead to continually make interesting and unique beers each week. They occasionally revisit a beer, but will always be tweaking and changing the recipe.

The brewers expect to be serving:

Fear Is Your Only God - Imperial Saison (8.8%) - A saison brewed with MOSAIC hops and French Saison Yeast

G/I/A/A (God is an American) - Imperial IPA (9.6%) - An imperial IPA brewed exclusively with CITRA hops, Belgian Candied Sugar, and aged on Ash Wood. This would be a double dry-hopped version of this beer, exclusively for the event.

B/A/Y/S (Black as Your Soul) Brandy Barrel Version - Imperial Stout (9.1%) - An Imperial Stout brewed with hazelnuts, cherries, and then aged on reclaimed chestnut wood. We then aged this beer for 6 months in Catoctin Creek Brandy Barrels.

History & Hops is a monthly series at the Heurich House Museum, the former Dupont Circle home of D.C.’s most successful brewer Christian Heurich. Every third Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30pm, the museum partners with a local craft brewery for house tours and beer tastings.

Guided tours through Heurich’s well-preserved Victorian mansion will discuss his brewery and the D.C. region’s rich brewing history. All proceeds will benefit the preservation and growth of the Heurich House Museum. Guests must be 21+.
