New Zealand’s world famous Yeastie Boys are teaming up with Beer Cartel to hold a Sofa Session at your place (streamed online), hosted by chief beer architect Stu McKinlay.

Simply buy a ticket - We’ll then send you a tasting pack, then login to the tasting session with Yeastie Boys, and learn about the fantastic Yeastie Boys beers as you sip them!

When: Tuesday 21st October 2014 at 7:00PM

Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours

Where: From your own home! We’ll email you login details - all you need is an internet connection and a computer / laptop / tablet / ipad / tv with sound.

1. White Noise (Witbier)
2. Minimatta (Session IPA)
3. Pot Kettle Black (Hoppy Porter)
4. The Sun Before The Darkness (Belgian Tripel)

Who are Yeastie Boys? They are the dynamic duo of Stu McKinlay and Sam Possenniskie who burst onto the beer scene with two trophies for their flagship porter Pot Kettle Black at BrewNZ in 2009 and have remained firmly ensconced there ever since.

During the event brewer Stu will take you on a wonderful journey across four different Yeastie Boys beers, including including three all new beers; White Noise, Minimatta and The Sun Before The Darkness. While you sip and savour these delicious delights Stu will keep you entertained answering your beer related questions and giving you a rundown of Yeastie history.

This is definitely not an event to be missed!

How does this work?

Simply purchase this pack, you will then be sent one of each of the 4 beers being featured. Ticket price includes free delivery. The day prior to the event you will be emailed login information. On the night of the event set your Computer / iPad / Tablet / Smart TV up with internet and sound - you will be able to connect to the event from 6:45PM. Then kick back, pop the top off the first beer being featured and enjoy the event!

During the live event we will also be able to take questions via the Q&A board and twitter.

Getting a few friends around for the occasion? Simply buy one pack for each person, or if people are driving, one pack between two. We will be having prizes for those that do host a tasting party - simply tweet us your pictures on the night @beercatel to go in the draw!

For PC-based participants:

Internet Explorer 7.0, Mozilla Firefox 4.0, Google Chrome 5.0 (JavaScript enabled) or the latest version of each web browser Windows 8, 7, Vista, XP or 2003 Server Cable modem, DSL, or better Internet connection Dual-core 2.4GHz CPU or faster with 2GB of RAM (recommended)

For Mac-based participants: Safari 3.0, Firefox 4.0, Google Chrome 5.0 (JavaScript enabled) or the latest version of each web browser Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard or newer Intel processor (1GB of RAM or better recommended) Cable modem, DSL, or better Internet connection

For participants with GoToMeeting app for iPad, iPhone or Android (note that if using a smart phone / iphone the audio is of lesser quality due to the size of the speakers)

For Tablet participants Free GoToMeeting app from the App Store or Google Play WiFi connection recommended for VoIP audio

For participants with a smart TV or TV with HDMI inputs you will need to have the TV connected via HDMI cable to a laptop / tablet / ipad or computer (which has been connected to the webinar as per the above).

FAQS

What happens if I can’t make the date? We intend to provide recorded copies of the session which will be available 1 week after the event

Can I talk to the brewer online? You won’t be able to talk directly to the brewer but can type questions to be asked via the Gotomeeting app or by tweeting @beercartel

What happens if I have issues during the event? Simply email [email protected] or tweet @beercartel

When will I receive the beers? The tasting packs will be dispatched once we receive your purchase. Check out our shipping info for indicative times.
