Welcome in the fifth season of Game of Thrones with excellent beer from HBO and Brewery Ommegang. We will be tapping the newest release, Three Eyed Raven, as well as a rare sixtel of Valar Morghulis. Most importantly! - don’t miss delicious paired dishes inspired by the Feast of ICe and Fire cookbook.

Three-Eyed Raven is a Dark Saison at 7.2% abv. Almost jet-black color with a light tan head. Yeast forward aromas are packed with peppery phenolics and fruity esters. Despite what you might expect from a dark hued beer, the flavor brings to mind a traditional saison: a light, malty body with a hint of sweetness, and roast accentuated by herbal and spicy hops, yet underpinned by pleasant yeastiness. Finish is crisp, with lingering notes of herbal hops and Belgian yeast.

Valar Morghulis is a Belgian Dubbel at 8.0% abv. Deep chestnut brown in color with a persistent and creamy tan head. Rich aromas of caramel, toffee, ripe fruits and burnt sugar, with a hint of cloves. The taste is delicately balanced with rich malty sweetness, caramel and just enough bitterness to balance out its malty backbone. A surprisingly dry finish is light on the tongue, which belies the initial aroma.
