Ludington hosts the annual craft beer tasting festival, aptly named Suds on the Shore, every August (usually the third Saturday of the month-in 2015 on August 15) from 1pm-7pm at City Park, Gaylord and Court Streets. This popular event is fun for participants, and a fundraising effort for United Way of Mason County.

The festival features vendors from all around Michigan, numbering 40+ and providing over 100 samples of craft beer, hard cider and Michigan wine. There are live music and home brew demonstrations
