SweetWater Brewing Company Tap Takeover at High Noon Saloon Thursday, June 25

Featuring limited release beers such as 420 Fest Double IPA and Happy Ending Imperial Stout

Atlanta-based SweetWater Brewing Company and High Noon Saloon feature hard-to-find beers at this tap takeover such as 420 Fest Double IPA, a limited-run Dank Tank series beer inspired by the brewery’s annual Sweetwater 420 Fest, and Happy Ending Imperial Stout, a limited-release Catch N Release series beer that won the Brewers Association World Beer Cup 2014 Silver Medal in the American-Style Stout category. Hop Hash Double IPA, a year-round brew not widely available in Chicago, and the seasonal Waterkeeper Hefeweizen will also be on offer. 420 Extra Pale and India Pale Ale (IPA), two of the brewery’s most popular beers, round out the lineup. Beers range from $6-$8 each.

Executive chef Antonio Gonzalez (ex-Frontera Grill/Topolobampo, Maya del Sol, Adobo Grill) prepares beer-enhanced specials for the event including selections such as Papas Gratinadas, baked potato skins with 420 Extra Pale Ale-braised chorizo, Cheddar Jack cheese, sour cream and green onions; and Braised Barbacoa-Style Beef Tacos, IPA-and-guajillo chile-marinated beef with onions and cilantro in flour tortillas. Food specials range from $4-$7 each.

Certified cicerone Rick Wildt provides SweetWater beer education and giveaways such as wearbles and logoed gear. The no-cover event begins at 7 p.m.; beer and food-specials are on consumption. High Noon Saloon is open from 4 p.m.-2 a.m. on June 25 and the kitchen is open until 11 p.m.

Waterkeeper Hefeweizen, Summer Seasonal, Catch N Release Series, 5.7% ABV
Light and refreshing German-style Weissbier with notes of banana and clove

Hop Hash, 7.8%, Year-Round (Limited Chicago Availability), 7.8% ABV
Dank, double India Pale Ale infused with pure hop lupulin, aka “hash.” The resiny hash meshes with the 2-Row, Pilsner and Wheat malts to add a pungent palate punch

420 Extra Pale Ale, Year-Round, 5.7% ABV
This well-balanced West Coast-Style Pale Ale, which features big hops and a crisp finish, is the brewery’s most popular beer

India Pale Ale (IPA), Year-Round, 6.3% ABV
