The Division Ale House welcomes Oregon’s Deschutes Brewery to showcase the limited-release Jubel 2015 and celebrate the Chicago release of Pinedrops IPA. The event features a meet-and-greet with reps from the brewery, giveaways, and limited release and year-round Deschutes beers. Featured beers include Jubel 2015, Pinedrops India Pale Ale (IPA), Armory XPA Experimental Pale Ale Nitro, Chainbreaker White IPA and Fresh Squeezed IPA.

Deschutes-inspired food specials from executive chef Wally Rouse include a BLT Brat, a housemade bacon-and-pork brat topped with roasted tomatoes, shredded lettuce and Fresh Squeezed IPA mayo and Pinedrops-Braised Pork Belly Sliders with spicy Asian slaw, crisp arugula and Sriracha mayo.

The event begins at 7 p.m., there is no cover charge to attend and food and drink are on consumption (featured beers and specials range from $6-$18). The Division Ale House is open from 4 p.m.-2 a.m. and the kitchen is open until midnight on July 1.

Featured Deschutes Beers

Jubel 2015, Limited Release, Reserve Series, 10.4% ABV
This American strong ale, which is 50-percent aged in Pinot and Oregon oak barrels, has not been available since 2010; it was originally planned as a once-a-decade release. Also known as “Super Jubel,” the beer is an imperial take on Jubelale, the brewery’s annual winter ale. Jubel features notes of toasted caramel, raisins, dates and figs complemented by spicy and herbal hop aromas.

Pinedrops IPA, Year-Round, Bond Street Series, 6.5% ABV
Formerly a draft-only/brewpub exclusive/seasonal; this ale arrives in Chicago as a year-round in late June. Pinedrops features a light malt body with ample citrus and pine notes from Chinook and Equinox hops.

Armory XPA Experimental Pale Ale (Nitro), Year-Round, 5.9% ABV
This pale ale features bitter notes from Nugget and Northern Brewer hops with pronounced citrus kick from Cascade, Centennial and Citra hops.

Chainbreaker White IPA, Year-Round, 5.6% ABV
White IPA/wheat beer brewed with wheat and pilsner malt; the ale has beautiful citrus aromas from Cascade and Citra hops that meld with the esters of Belgian yeast.

Fresh Squeezed IPA, Year-Round, Bond Street Series, 6.4% ABV
Brewed with Pale, Crystal and Munich malt and Citra, Mosaic and Nugget hops. Fresh Squeezed has flavors of sweet orange and tangerine with other citrus notes; slight spice with hints of honey, caramel and toasted malt.
