The Division Ale House hosts California’s Coronado Brewing Company for a beer night on Thursday, January 14 from 7 p.m.-2 a.m. The event showcases two beers seldom seen outside of California, Nitro Dublin Down and Wally’s Wheat Market, and also taps Bobblehead Red IPA, a limited release Crown Series beer. Two year-round selections, Stingray Imperial IPA and Orange Avenue Wit, round out the list. There is no cover charge to attend and beers range from $6-$8 each.

The bar holds a raffle at 10 p.m. featuring a pair of Chicago Blackhawks tickets as the grand prize. Coronado staffers will be on-hand during the event for beer education. The Division Ale House is open from 4 p.m.-2 a.m. on January 14 and the full menu is on offer until midnight. Reservations recommended by calling 773-384-6886.

Nitro Dublin Down Stout, Limited Release, 4.8% ABV
Originally released during San Diego Beer Week (November 2015); limited release outside of the California brewpub and tasting room. A highly-roasted dark stout with pronounced bitterness.

Wally’s Wheat Market, Limited Release, 4.8% ABV
Originally released during San Diego Beer Week (November 2015); limited release outside of the California brewpub and tasting room. Hoppier than a typical wheat beer; light body with a crisp, refreshing flavor.

Bobblehead Red IPA, Crown Series/Limited Release, 8.0% ABV
Hoppy red India Pale Ale brewed with Columbus, Nugget, Pacifica, Simcoe and Topaz hops. Big aromas of pine and citrus with tropical notes and a robust malt backbone.

Stingray Imperial IPA, Year-Round, 7.9% ABV
Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe and Southern Cross hops provide flavors and aromas of citrus and tropical fruits with soft notes of nectarine and peach.

Orange Avenue Wit, Year-Round, 5.2% ABV
Named after the main street in Coronado, California where the brewpub is located. The brewery’s spin on a Witbier is brewed with orange zest, coriander and orange blossom honey. Light and refreshing with citrus zing and hints of earthy spice.
