Join us on Wednesday, September 7th as we toast the 23rd anniversary of our dear friends, Avery Brewing Company. As an extra special treat, we’ll be joined by co-founder and CEO, Adam Avery, who will be celebrating his 50th birthday!

To honor both of these momentous milestones, we’ll feature 50 different brews from the Colorado brewery, one of the largest collections ever assembled! The list includes 6 tasting room exclusives, a dozen DC debuts and 7 vintage beers personally selected by Adam Avery from his very own cellar!

One of the industry leaders in barrel-aging, Avery will showcase a whopping 24 wood-aged beers. Highlights include Odio Equum, aged 12 months in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels with Brettanomyces and raspberries; and Momi Hiwa, a Rum barrel-aged Porter finished with toasted coconut.

Other notables include Fiel Al Estilo, a Tequila barrel-aged Barleywine brewed with agave syrup, chili peppers and smoked wheat; and Double D’s, a 10.3% Bourbon barrel-aged ale with ginger. Both of these rare brews are being poured for the first time ever in DC!

Last but not least, don’t even think about missing Mephistopheles’ Batch 2. This massively decadent Imperial Stout has been carefully aging in Avery’s cellar since 2007.

There is no admission fee for this event and all Avery beers will be priced individually by the glass and in 4 oz. tasting pours.
