Top 8 I agree with, that’s about it |
I’d be interested to see what Ratebeer’s list would be based on overall average beer rating in each state. Is that somewhere? Adjustments would have to be made for some states like Colorado where BMC numbers would bring down the average. |
I think we’d need some sort of formula involving # of breweries, beers, average score, etc. not sure how it’d work exactly |
The Dakotas aren’t too far off where they should be... North Dakota has a better beer scene that South Dakota, IMO. Both aren’t too bad on the eastern side of the state, but good beer scenes in the western Dakotas and eastern Montana get pretty few and far between. Overall Montana (Billings & west) is solid. |
These lists always have a huge subjective factor. I think it is in the general ballpark, but obviously I would change it somewhat. Having not toured the beer scene of all 50 states personally however, it is difficult to say. |
They forgot New England brewing from ct, def underrated state |
In lower 48th what town is the furthest from a brewery? So far the best i got is Mobridge, SD is 2 hours from closest (in Bismarck) can we beat this? |
also Caribou, ME you have to go 2hrs to New Brunswick. |
NH is also a bit low. They seem to think that Smuttynose is the only brewery in the state. I have recently had beer from Blue Lobster, Stoneface, Earth Eagle, Moat Mountain, Tuckermans, Prodigal, Portsmouth as well as Smutty. They also seem to have forgotten Red Hook. |
I don’t think writer spent much time in New England in general from looking at it. |
