Duchammer’s wife is traveling to Tacoma tomorrow for business and she’s taking my 12 bottle shipper luggage to bring beer back to Alaska for us. She has already said she is going to hit up 99 Bottles. Is there anything they sell that is a must have? We do get a lot of West Coast distro, but I’m sure there is stuff that doesn’t make it up this far north worth a try. Cheers/Thanks in advance, Shawn |
Without know what beers are currently available to you - this is hard to respond to, but check their places page and click "+ More Beers Available Here" to see what has been in recently. Anything of interest? |
A good resource about what stuff is arriving and available in the seattle area is http://www.thebeerjunction.com/#!new-arrivals/cwy5. 99 Bottles and the Beer Junction typical get similar stuff at similar times, so that should be a good guide. They also both keep their Facebook pages up to date with recent arrivals. |
Originally posted by CapFlu She’s flying for business. Canada allows you to bring 24 x 355 millilitre (12 ounce) cans or bottles of beer or ale, including beer coolers over 0.5 percent alcohol (a maximum of 8.5 litres or 287.4 US ounces). Which I did when I moved from Florida to Alaska, but the boarder guys worried more about guns than beer. We get most common beers from Fish Brewing Company/Leavenworth Beers, Dicks Brewing Company, Elysian Brewing Co, Iron Horse Brewery, No-Li Brewhouse, Pyramid Breweries, and Two Beers Brewing Co. |
Too late to help this trip, but if she’s in Tacoma I’d recommend hitting Pint Defiance for bottles. Equal in selection to 99 for PNW beers. |
Thanks for the input, she has a few more trips down there I think. I saw that in places, but to late for her to make plans for it. |
