AleSmith makes a insain Evil Dead Red Ale. Does anyone have a NON all grain clone? I have yet to make that leap and would love to make something close. |

(0 IBU) I would say that the only change that you’d have to make would be sub in 9 lbs of Extra Light DME for the 12 lbs of British Pale and either steep or mini-mash the rest of the grains. Should get ya pretty close. |
Jamil Z has a beer based on the Evil Dead Red called Evil Twin. It’s probably the best beer I have ever brewed. I love it. Unfortunately the recipe is AG, but maybe you can translate it to extract: |

It’s not a dead red clone, but i think it’s better than the real thing. |

Seems like the OG on this would be higher than 1.066. |
Originally posted by emacgee Ran it thru beer calculus and it came out 1.063 w/ 70% eff. and 6 gal batch. |
I’ve brewed the above recipe and it is indeed very tasty. However, the ABV and maltiness are not close to Evil Dead Red. I believe Peter Zien posted this recipe as the "little brother" of Evil Dead. |
I think this guy was looking for a extract recipe. |
