I’ve spent two weeks in Munich. For those of you who are interested in getting out of the city center, I have a number of suggestions, including a nano brewery: |
Interesting, since I usually go to Munich 1-2 times a year. Nice tips. Thanks. |
Originally posted by KnutAlbert Nice blog, thanks - I’m pleased to see you found at least a few beers that weren’t "the obvious suspects" - Helles, Pils, Dunkelweisse, etc. I’m also amused that you’re learning Tysk, yet switch from Norsk to Engelsk for your Bayerische write-up. Just out of interest, what sort of prices do the Norwegian duty-free shops reckon they can sell Nøgne Ø for, compared to Vinmonopolet? I’m curious because it turns out I can buy it in the UK for half or a third the cost in Vinmonopolet. Anyway, we’re off for a week in Bamberg and Forchheim soon, and this time I must remember to pack my notebook - the paper variety! |
Thanks, I’ll be there in a few weeks, so this is timely. |
The Norwegian duty free shops sell the Nøgne Ø beers for 40-50 kroner, if I remember correctly. |

The statistics show most of my readers are outside Scandinavia, and my written German is not up to much. |
Originally posted by KnutAlbert Ah, that’s a bit more like it - half the Vinmonopolet price. Originally posted by KnutAlbert Mein auch... I was just teasing really, but I sometimes forget it doesn’t work properly online.... |

Originally posted by BeerViking Not sure if I’ll be around, as Mrs is taking time off work from then, but if you want to try and meet up, let me know. Have lovely bottles of Winterbock to give away, lest they get too old in my Keller. |
Just added three new places, but the maps aren’t working, at least FWICT: |
