I know this is going to bring groans and moans but is it time for this to be a "style" on here?
I see that these types are overtaking the black IPA/CDAs in breweries.

I wish breweries would be more inventive with their hop choices. Cascade clashes so hard with the Belgian yeast to my palate.

The one I had tonight worked well but it had nugget and Chinook as well as cascade

No. This style should be lost to the ages, and brewing one should be punishable by death.

Citra is a pretty solid hop choice for White IPA. I don’t associate Cascade with the style. It should have been a style on here two years ago. I’m pretty sure the battle plan is for the site to keep its head in the sand and see what happens.

Any sixpacks of White IPA that nail it?

We had a long thread about this recently. I think it should be a style, some others didn’t. So, yeah.

As popular as a wheat IPA is becoming it doesn’t have to be Belgian and it doesn’t have to be a wit/weiss in order to be a White IPA so it’s a bit too arbitrary.

We make a very popular one with Calypso hops, mentioning hops.

I think XX Bitter should always be done the way XXX Bitter is done, and be done with it.

But yeah, Belgian IPA is rarely a hit. There are ways to use Belgian yeast and mask the yeast profile among the exotic fruit and juice compot from the hops making the esters part of the hop aromas. This rarely happens. If I have to choose, I prefer little or no yeast by products in a fresh IPA.

Except for in Heady Topper, of course.
