Bishop’s Barrel No. 5 to be Released Monday, November 4 |
Any of y’all remember DR #4? I loved that one! |

I had a dr#4 a year ago and it was drinking very good..Cant wait for this one |
This one seems to have a lot of variation between the bottles. The first one I had (at Holy Grail) was very peaty and tasting a lot like a smoky, peaty Scotch. The second bottle I had (at Brewvolution) was much heavier on the bourbon and the third (also at Brewvolution) was basically just like a Scotch ale, with some light peat and smoke but no real barrel aging character. |
best of the series so far! |
... thoughts on price? |
Originally posted by fly I think it is probably overpriced, but for a limited release beer only available in bars it is not too bad. Now, lets not get started on the insane retail price of the Divine Reserve series. |
I’ve only had one bottle and it was way bourbon forward. I didn’t even recognize the peat or Scotch Ale character for all the bourbon and sweetness. Would like to try again to see if I can get some scotch ale along w the bourbon. |
