I’ve not done a good Black Country crawl for many a year - used to live in them parts back in the day.
A mate of mine has a preserved bus and occasionally hires it out for such purposes.
I’d be looking to get the train from London to Wolverhampton (bit of a tasting on the train) then hit a crawl along the following lines:-
Start from the Great Western at Wolverhampton Low Level hit the Bathams tap, Craddocks at Stourbridge, Waggon & Horses in Halesowen then back to Brum via Cotteridge Wines (to stock up for homeward tasting) and then a Brum pub maybe the Wellington before train back to London.
Other options also available in respect to an intinerary - the above is a quick stab to highlight what is possible in 8 or 9 hours.
Folks not coming from London obviously welcome and can just pick up the bus in Wolves.
Anyone got any interest in this ?
Would be a Saturday probably June/July time
Bus hire about £10 a head so long as we get 15-20 folks
Advance train fare with Virgin can be as little as £15/20 depending on availablity.

I would be up for it as long as its not the last two weeks of July, got to take wife and kids on Holiday. It would be good to meet with fellow ratebeerians in my local area.

Yes. Living in Dudley, I haven’t got an excuse. Dan Brown et al will come too, I’m sure.

Final date depending, I’m more than just interested

Yes put me down for it :)

Good to see some initial interest - I’m sure we can get the numbers for this. I’ll throw 3 weekends into the ring when I’m free and the bus should be. We can just try to work on the one where most folks can make it. Saturday 29th June, 6th July, 13th July.

Sounds fun. A bit early to say what I’ve got on around then though.

I would probably join in. At this point I think my schedule is clear around the dates you listed.

I’m sure I can get whatever off if I get notice.
