Anyone else heading to Denver for this year’s CBC? Drop me a line & lets meet up sometime during the week! |
I’ll be holding office hours there as well |
Not me this year. As a bit of an aside, I don’t get the Denver choice at all. So in a single calendar year you will have the following all take place in Denver. |
Originally posted by lithy I think the lack of any great breweries and pubs in Denver offsets this. |
Perhaps it’s because the Brewer’s Association is in Denver and Boulder? It’s usually a good decision to have your event nearby. |
Let’s plan a meetup! |
Beer, Beer, Beer, Beer... I’m in. |
ok cool. is there a local who wants to pick a time and place? |
Hops & Pie on the 9th? |
I’ll be there doing the trade show, though not sure of my schedule, I can try and meet up. |
Originally posted by lithy I’ll be there. So GABF is always in Denver. It makes sense to. Central location with a great big airport allowing for many direct flights. Huge Conference center centrally located with access from 10s of 1,000s of hotel rooms by foot. Great downtown area with a huge number of restaurants and beer gathering spots all within walking distance. 100s of breweries within an hours drive. Brewers Association is right there so planners for the event can remain in their homes... So it makes sense for the GABF. I don’t remember the last time the CBC was in Denver, and I have been going to them since 2007. The WBC awards banquet is ALWAYS held immediately after the CBC. It makes sense to give the smaller local brewers in each major metro area a chance to go to the CBC, as many breweries won’t pay for their brewers to fly, get a room... yadayada... I could go on, but as you can see, pretty easily explained. Denver is a pretty great city to hold beer related events these days. |
