You don’t need to speculate about how the brewery at Edmunds Brewhouse works - the brewing process used at Edmunds Brewhouse is described in detail on the website www.edmundsbrewhouse.co.uk . This should answer many of the questions that have arisen.

May we suggest that people refrain from guessing at how it might be done and claiming their guesses to be the facts. The brewery is far removed from the home-brew kits suggested by some and brewing a cask of beer takes up to ten days - exactly the same as the big breweries.

The independent sign of quality - the Cask Marque - has been awarded to all the ales brewed at Edmunds Brewhouse.

On Ratebeer we attribute the beers to the Brewer rather than to who owns or runs the kit and with a system like this we need to deduce who the Brewer is. The ingredients are put together, in this case, by TrueBrew and distributed to the pubs that run their kit. So on Ratebeer we will be attributing the beers to TrueBrew and will be aliasing beers where there is commonality.
The quality of the beer will be measured within our rating system and how our members find it.
Cask Marque is awarded to how pubs keep and dispense their beers, rather than to the quality of individual beers sold.

Then there is this piece in the Daily Mail :-
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2982711/Could-machine-save-pub-Technobrewery-brews-280-pints-beer-2-HOURS-cost-just-35p-each.html

I’m wondering how individual premisses will be measuring and adjusting their water supply, which can vary on mains quite considerably.

As I understand it from a quick glance at the TrueBrew website, they can provide ingredients (and recipes?) but you can also tweak things or "craft your own completely new beverages too" (from FAQ on TrueBrew website). It also seems that the abv can be varied at will.
