Great post. Keep it up. |
No problem! :) The scene will definitely grow till next year at least. We might actually have something interesting here when you finally visit! |
Keep up the good work Marko. Unfortunately now slowly thread #1 vanishes to the archives :( |
My girlfriend and I just booked our trip - we will be flying into Florence and working our way around through Slovenia and then down the coast of Croatia. I (we) would love to meet up with some locals and share some beers and conversation! The trip is May 23 - June 7 and our itinerary is pretty loose at the moment. |
Možemo :) |
Anyway, Croatia is getting its own western-style microbrewery soon - run by some very, very talented homebrewers I know, and headed by the guy who pretty much gathered and organized the Croatian homebrewing scene - Andrej Capka. And they’re about to rock the scene. Stay tuned to more news from them! |
Thanks, Marko. As you know, this is always good info to have. Sure, some of us might blow off Croatia, but it’s a tough part of the world in which to hunt beer and we need all the help we can get. |
It’s getting easier by the month, however. :) And about time it is! |

I have been living in Serbia (Kosovo) for almost 10 years. Glad to year about this try from the Sopot guys, I will try their beers soon in Samo Pivo although I am not having any great expectation. Sadly Serbia is far away to reach that beer culture due to lack of preparation of customers and basically because commercial beers lobbies keep ruling! I would love witnessing a craft beer revolution in this part of the world... |
