Message Marko P admin beers 17776 º places 866 º 18:07 Mon 2/3/2014 Ratebeer freezes a thread after 6 months - hope more people will be active in this one. Anyway, a couple of days ago, the first commercial brews for the first true western-style microbrewery in Serbia - Kabinet Brewery, based in Sopot, south of Belgrade, were released in the country’s capital. Right now, their beers are available on tap at the Samo Pivo bar, the Square 9 hotel and the Dijagonala2.0 & Od Usta do Usta restaurants. The lineup seems to be an IPA, a Belgian Blond and, apparently, an APA as well. Definitely a great thing for the scene there! And then that year rolls around and . . . well . . . hopefully next year. I’ll make it at some point and these threads have been very informative. Thanks.

We might actually have something interesting here when you finally visit! Felt a bit awkward keeping a bit of a monologue while there are all those views :/. I (we) would love to meet up with some locals and share some beers and conversation! The trip is May 23 - June 7 and our itinerary is pretty loose at the moment. Cheers, Levi

Glad to year about this try from the Sopot guys, I will try their beers soon in Samo Pivo although I am not having any great expectation. Sadly Serbia is far away to reach that beer culture due to lack of preparation of customers and basically because commercial beers lobbies keep ruling!
