I live about an hour from Bells, kind of looking to expand the horizons a bit.

Toppling Goliath has also been doing stuff in the early afternoon which would be worthwhile. I recall Destihl pulling out all the stops too. Throw in Karben4, Ale Asylum, Vintage, and the Great Dane and you could be busy all day.

If you still want to check out the road less traveled I’d recommend the Grumpy Troll in Mount Horeb. Someone else can chime in if things have changed but there is a nice little brewpub in Rockford if you are taking the roundabout drive from Chicago.

Yeah the Toppling Goliath party at Dexters always sucks, don’t go there....

+1
Half Acre, Revolution, DryHop, Haymarket in Chicago
Carlyle in Rockford and the nearby Oasis Micropub are fun stops too.
Next Door Brewing in East Madison is solid.
Silver Creek north of Milwaukee is a cool stop.

Wow thanks for all the input guys. We might have to head over Thursday morning and hit Milwaukee for a day and meander our way over to Madison Friday afternoon. I know the wife wanted to check out ale asylum and we were really impressed with the distihl tent last year, gonna try to check them out too. And whatever else we can get to from all great suggestions, thanks again guys!
