Hitachino Nest Ancient Nipponia - 6.5% and 8%?

Hi,

Just picked up a bottle of Hitachino Nest Ancient Nipponia Pilsner that has 6.5% ABV.

The brewery’s site and RateBeer list it as 8% (and the retired, top-fermented version at 6.5%). On untappd people are rating the 8% version and this 6.5% version under the same listing https://untappd.com/b/kiuchi-brewery-hitachino-nest-ancient-nipponia/38223

Any idea what is going on here? Has the old version been relaunched? Or have they just lowered the ABV?

I’d wait for the Japan admins to chime in but they may have gone back to their earlier recipe...

Never seen it in a 330ml bottle. I would say that is the lager version. The 8% version is always(?) in the 650ml bottle.
