I just bought these 2 beers from a local liquor store in Egmond (NL). Both are probably aliases, but I need a bit more info before I add them and have them aliased. The first is a German Hefeweizen, barcode 8717775902188, brewed in DE 56371 Nassau, Germany. Can’t find a brewery there though. |
Pics? |
Why need pics? They’re called Egmond Weisse and Egmond Porter. Apart from some generic picture of a dune there’s nothing else on the label except what I described. |
Bizarre that they would say it’s brewed in Nassau (and that number)... nothing there. |
That was the only one I could find as well, but they don’t seem to be an actual brewery, hence my confusion. |
These guys list the Porter as a Steenberge, hmmm.. |
I’m pretty sure it’s a van Steenberge too, just need some confirmation. The Weisse is still quite shady though. |

Ya know, that’s exactly what I was thinking while reading that, that you probably know them. :D |
Do you have a picture of the "German" Weissbier brewed in Nassau? The barcode only points to a dutch trade company (Multi Cadeau B.V.), so from the shape of the label we can see of my guess in the Germany-forum (Karlsberg-group) might be right - but that’s only a guess :) |
I do, but can’t post it now. I bought it at a Bottle shop in Egmond who sells ’their own’ beers under the name of Egmond’s ...(enter style). The label almost looks like it has been printed on a home printer, rectangle shape, no neck or back label. I’ll post one tomorrow. Thanks for the search. |
