Altamont is releasing their first bottled sour beer on Friday...$28 for a 750ml. Yeah, I think I’ll just try it on draft.

I was going to ask but I checked on of their other instantgram posts and they said it will be available in both bottles and on draft in that post.

I just heard from the owner that they plan to open both a production brewery/taproom in Livermore AND a brewpub in Brentwood in a month or two. I’m guessing it will be more like Spring 2017, but who knows. They should be updating the Facebook page soon.

Couple more East Bay updates:

Gilman Brewing will be open in a month or two according to their Instagram account. I’ve spotted their Saison at a couple places, but haven’t tried it yet.

East Brother in Richmond will be open in a week or two according to the head brewer. I stopped by there today, and the tasting room looked like they’re a bit further off than that, but I’ll take his word for it. They have a pretty nice spot though for sure. Looks legit. A few of the beers have been at a couple local bars already, but again, I haven’t got around to trying them yet.

Excellent updates! I saw none of them ’til now cause of the serious server damage. I am keeping the list on p.1 current, FWIW.

Interestingly we have not added many new breweries in this thread; mostly updates to projects that have been known about for a while. Is the pace of new starts finally slowing down, or are we just getting lazy?
