Simon was a good friend, enormously good company and I’m sure would have laughed himself silly watching a load of Ratebeerians having to drink non rates in his honour. I’m starting with a Thornbridge Tzara, a beer I know he didn’t rate on ratebeer, but a beer he blogged about and one of the last of his tweets I read was about him drinking it on keg at the Dada Thornbridge bar in Sheffield. Clear gold, tasty German influence. Almost like drinking Kolsch in Cologne. Beautiful beer. Cheers Simon

No but i know he got Furious one night as he had a thread on Beer A about listening to music while drinking beer, and it was deleted by the admins as it wasnt about beer.

I quite like his tweet on 16 May 2013 "we had Dobber with and without at Marble Arch. Better without. Staff agreed" regarding drinking Marble Dobber with or without a sparkler.
