The breweries Oasis controls do a ton of stuff that’s either trying to play on nostalgia or is somewhere halfway between industrial and craft, or at least pretending to be, with fancy bottles little "custom" bottles usually. PBR is a logical choice for the entry to the US market. |

PBR got some sort of hipster status that was bound to fade at some point. It’s truly a bad beer. I’m guessing that the prior owners sold it while they knew it was hot -- and knew the good times wouldn’t continue. |
