Curious, but does anyone know if you can ship beers internationally?

I’m in London, England and would like to send a few beers over to a friend in the US.

Can it be done? Or is it too expensive to even consider?

It can be and is often done, but it is technically illegal.

And yes, its pretty pricey.

UPS or what service?

Difficult as it can legally be seized by customs and held at location, seized, fined, or worse. I would not recommend it unless you are a pro packer. You can use this guide to get your feet wet: bit.ly/1hqq3dO

It’s perfectly fine, many people do it from Europe all the time. Aside from packing really well be sure to declare it as a gift, low value so it’s not subject to import duty (I believe it’s max $100 a day in the US but I normally just put €30ish), and describe the contents as something other than beer! Eg. Glassware. Simple and mostly nothing to worry about :)
