Sounds horrible. Hope you’re back on your feet asap.

So, first of all, again thanks everybody for the get well wishes, really appreciate it. A quick update for those who are interested. Today the cast was removed and the X-rays confirmed everything is still where it should be. All screws and plates can stay in the ankle unless they start to bother me in the future. The next 4 to 6 weeks I can slowly but steadily learn to walk again. Starting with just the motion of the foot and ankle without pressure on it and work from there to walking. Probably quite a lot of cycling as well. For those of you who want to know what the leg looks like: it ain’t pretty and it’s in need of a good bath. It’s also about half as thick as it used to be, no joke. But at least now recovery can start. It’ll be another test for my patience though that’s for sure. Hopefully recovery goes well so I won’t have to face you guys in a wheelchair next beer festival ;) Cheers/ René

That’s where they put one the first surgery when they did it completely wrong. Can you spot anything out of the ordinary here? http://imgur.com/4xrd5Y6
