I actually can’t wait to try this one! Strawberry was my lowest beer on here but I quite enjoyed the mango one.

Nope.

People like this. 85% of the people don’t buy macros because of advertising. Its cheap. Its available EVERYWHERE. Its easy to drink 12 of these after work on a Tuesday.

People who criticize macro drinkers are just as bad as people who criticize craft beer drinkers.
cf Heineken

I don’t generally drink macros, fwiw. Will hammer some mich golden light when offered nothing else, but not usually on my own. However, nothing wrong with slamming a case of these when its warm and I’m outside.

WEird as i seem to see much more serious beer forum conversation as opposed to here were "Ritas is kool" threads seem to pop u pall the time

Maybe we’re so serious about rating beers sensibly that we need to relax and let off steam in the forum?

Would love to see these sales figures net of advertising/marketing. Seems like Natty light is killing it.

If my math is right, AB-Inbev sold about 500,000 barrels of Bud Light Straw-Ber-Rita in 2013.

maybe. how did you do that math to get 500k barrels?

Twenty-four 12oz bottles to a case.

31 gallons to a barrel.

288 oz to a case, 3967 oz to a barrel. (bottles*oz/bottle and gallons*128oz/gallon)

~13.77 cases to a barrel (oz/bbl divided by oz/case)

7,107,259 cases of -Rita is 516,140 bbls of -Rita (total cases divided by cases/bbl)

According to 2013 BA stats (which I think is the year the data in the graphic is based on), only 6 breweries, Yuengling, Boston Beer, Sierra Nevada, New Belgium, Craft Brew Alliance, and Spoetzl brewed more than 500k bbls.

And yes, it’s all 2013 data.
