hopefully they’ll charge around $7-8 for a 12oz bottle. i’ve been in the mood to pay $7-8ish for a small bottle of beer.

I can’t even imagine who is going to pay that much for an old IPA.

Back to the topic, I wonder what style it is gonna be?

I’m hoping it will be an amped up doppelbock or wheat wine type beer.

After reading the story I’m kinda interested.

I don’t have anything against Boston Beer Company, but I’d have been much more excited if they (Weihenstephaner) had contacted Sierra Nevada instead. Of course, from their end, SA was probably a better choice for giving the beer exposure to the general public.
I’ll probably plan on buying this, unless it’s another one of those hopped up Weissbiers... ruins the beauty of two styles of beer for me.

Koch, a Harvard-educated, sixth-generation beer brewer with German heritage, said he was elated when Weihenstephan called suggesting a a joint project.
Subliminal messaging?
