Had my first tonight and it seems a reasonable thing if your having to carry /camp etc. |
Love em. Usually just a buck extra for the can and places don’t have to worry about filling dirty growlers. |
They’re rad and brilliant for Oscar blues taking what they did for cans to the next level. |

Growlers will eventually fade away. Why would someone want such a big bulky heavy thing to fill up beer? Crowlers are lighter, I would guess keep the beer in good condition (no effect from light) and easier to store in the fridge and carry. Oscar Blues is going to make a mint on this product. |
I always very carefully clean my growlers..but they are cool |

Much prefer Crowlers for the reasons stated. Plus they tend to last a little longer than growlers from my experience. Also, crawlers are easier to ship. |
First pour can be a pain, but in general, love to seem them show up to tastings! |
I’m fine with them as long as the place filling them doesn’t charge you much for the can as you can’t reuse it again like a regular growler...as far as I know, anyway. |
A place near me has both right now. They charge $0.00 for the crowle option. They plan to phase out the glass altogether as the crowlers are easier to fill and faster to fill. I was told this is due to the metal crowler quickly taking to the beer temperature during filling which reduces foaming and makes for a quicker fill. |
