If anyone is interested in joining me anywhere, here’s the tentative plan:

- meal at King’s Tavern, Leesburg, 11 am.
- Loudon Brewing, noon
- Dirt Farm, 1:30ish
- Quattro Goombas, 3ish
- Ocelot, 4ish
- the ilusive and malplaced Beltway, 5ish
- Aslin just before closing
- Caboose for dinner around 7

As usual, follow checkins to see where I’m at, or call/text.

I was just out that way and am definitely interested in hitting Ocelot again. I’ll check in with you mid-afternoon.

Sounds good. The time can be very flexible.

Fantastic brewpub crawl. Highlights were Dirt Farm, Ocelot, Aslin. Caboose was also OK.

I’m deeply disappointed in you Gene. All your traveling and you’re unfamiliar with boiled peanuts, a delicacy almost in your backyard. For shame.

Seriously though, Dirt Farm looks like an amazing stop. Can’t wait to get there myself.

I am quite familiar. But the ones I’ve seen were removed from the shell first and then boiled. Boiling them in the shells made them soggy and difficult to de-shell, and is a profoundly negative trend in boiled peanut circles.

Growing up in GA these were a common thing, ALWAYS in shell. PIcking some up from roadside stands while driving around the country... bliss.
