Wetherspoon Autumn real ale festival 2016

Plus there is a time factor. It is due to rain from 1800-2100 in the London and South East area, so I have 16 pubs and 28 beers to do in 8 hours. My train leaves Ashford at 08.43 arriving St P at 09.21 and it’s about a 25 minute cycle ride to my first pub The Pommelers Rest, south of Tower Bridge. So my first beer hopefully will be at 09.45 and then be back to St P for the 1812 train home.

Well the day has started bright with a weak pale yellow sun Turner-esquely smudging the Kentish sky as my train fizzes along the foot of the North Downs.
Perhaps as a good luck sign i shared the lift at Ashford station with a Tibetan monk. Surely the beer karma must be with me today

And of course any words of encouragement will be most welcome especially in the mid to late afternoon where the hopelessness and pointlessness of the project normally kicks in.

I really am banking on getting 20 at The Crosse Keys and picking up the rest before i hit Victoria. But its early in the festival and will all 30 beers have been distributed yet?
