Originally posted by HuskerTan within a 10 minute walk there’s just one brewpub, Legion, which is one of my two favorites in Charlotte (the other is Wooden Robot). And there’s a beer store with a bar with a dozen taps. There are four more brewpubs and a bunch of bars in NoDa, a 20 minute walk (I don’t have a bike yet). And all 20 greater Charlotte area brewpubs are within a short Uber or Lyft distance, mostly under ten bucks. Definitely nothing that resembles ChurhKey, and too many places offer just shaker pints, which makes it hard to try lots of different beers in a single session. Fortunately there’s a local beer festival every weekend for the next four weeks, all within short Lyft range (and one at Legion, so a short walk) |

Late Saturday night dinner here in California. Pulled pork sandwiches and my vote for the blend of the Firestone 20th Anniversary Ale. I blended a bottle of 2016 Parabola and 2016 Stickee Monkey since they always seem to be major components of the final blend and are my favorites of the BA stouts and BWs from FW. And it tastes really awesome and I have 44 oz to consume!!!! |
