56 Packed and loud little bar with a few tables. Beer here is decent, service is o.k. They have a restaurant across the street but we did not have time to visit. |
60 Stopped by on a mid Wednesday afternoon. I found street parking to be easy. I stopped by the barbecue restaurant first. Bartender was really helpful. Six beers on tap, and the flight of four I had were all nice. Didn’t eat but the place smelled nice. Kind of a family restaurant vibe. I next went across the street to the tap house. 8-ish taps here. I saw two hand pulls but I didn’t ask what was available as I was nearing my limit. Apparently you can order food on this side and they will bring it across the street. The bartender was indifferent in the tap house. Prices seemed to be the same on both sides. It seemed like maybe the lines weren’t as clean on the taphouse side. Nevertheless I’m glad I stopped by. Rating is for both places combined. |
70 go here semi regularly. Old train station so long and narrow has a front and back deck, front get the shade, back gets alot of sun. Service generally good, though again, they know me and as a regular I cut them some slack. All Aviator brews and a semi regular guest tap, seen Green Man and Full Steam lately. They will now bring food from across the street from the smokehouse Aviator opened. Live band a few nights a week, Fun place little bit of a haul from most of the Triangle, but still worth a visit |
90 A long narrow taphouse that is located in a former train station. Has 8-10 beers on tap from aviator and occasional casks. There was a guest tap but I stuck with the brewery’s own beer. Large deck out back. The best place to get Aviator beer. |
62 Just a little old train station converted into a tap room. A tap room is exactly what this is. Nice place to sit and try some beers. Don’t know if any food is served here, but it is a nice location. |
74 Very cool little brewpub in downtown Fuquay Varina. They serve all their beers on draft, something like 6 different offerings while we were there. None of the beers stood out as memorable, just a bunch of well-crafted session brews of varying styles. The main room with the bar is long and skinny, a bunch of barstools, TV over the bar, tons of natural light, and a little area setup to play Wii. They have a big outdoor patio area and party room, which apparently host concerts from time to time. This place is exactly what a local brewpub should be--a place for friends and family to hang out and share a fresh pint or 3. If I lived in Fuquay, I’d be a regular for sure. |
