76 Visited this neat and stylish small shop while travelling to the Dutch deep south, Not only selling beer (appr. 80) but also wine and liquor. Small but nice beer selection with an emphasis on local and regional brands, but also to my big surprise Black Isle (sic) from Scotland, and furthermore a small selection of beers from all over Europe and North-America. Oh and also a few meads and ciders. Very friendly service. |
76 Rating for their webshop: Nice looking webshop with interesting collection including some 3 Fonteinen beers, Cantillon, local imperial stouts and some barrel aged stuff aswell. Package arrived quick and bottles are carefully packed. |
62 Nice place selling beer and also spirits. Selection of beer is reasonable. A few ticks. Was surprised to see an Icelandic porter. Friendly service. |
68 Small bottle shop not far away from the Stadsbrouwerij. Since they do not only sell beer, the selection is relatively small. But, the quality is quite high and far from standard with quite a few rarities and gems, mostly Dutch, Belgian and American but also more from other countries. The prices were quite good actually, and the staff was friendly and motivated. Since there is not that much overlap with the Bierbrigadier, it is worth checking out when in the area. |
68 A place I will return to If I am ever in Eindhoven again. Interesting concept with beer and wine mixed together, not in different sections. Some exclusive beers. Even Icelandic, this makes it a little pricier but a new great store. |
58 Visited on a Tuesday afternoon while I was in the neighborhood. Saw this place had recently opened its doors and I was curious. Its concept is quality. Not just beer, but wine as well. One of the owners told me their goal is to have wine drinkers come in and leave not only with wine but also with a high quality beer and vice versa. Beerwise the selection isn’t big, but they have selected mostly quality beers (at least, beers from quality brewers like De Molen, Beavertown, The Kernel). That said, some of the beers are there just because they’re exclusive, like Spencer Trappist and Tre Fontane. Not surprisingly those beers are very expensive, so I left them aside even though Tre Fontane would have been a new tick. Found two new beers though, so my trip over there was worth it, but it doesn’t look like a place to frequently visit for the die hard beer raters. It’s gonna be interesting to see though whether their concept will work. Nice guys, so I wish them good luck. |
