94 Visited numerous times during february and march 2017. Simply a world class venue, that take so much care into serving the finest local beers in top condition. Add ambitious and tasty food, and helpful staff with a knowledge that is hard to beat. Probably got served the best sampe tray in history here. |
82 2017-05-27. Nice spot, relatively quiet at first on a Saturday night. Nice bar area, lots of cozy tables, decent sized patio seemed busier than inside today. Beer list is pretty impressive, including several beers I had not even heard of let alone tried - including several from Toronto that I had not had yet! Good mix of Ontario craft options. Food menu looked good. Servers were friendly and fairly knowledgable about the beer. I randomly bumped into Lubiere here and had a nice time with him and the bar staff. Bottle list is pretty solid as well, prices on the bottles are a bit pricier but not outrageous. Probably the best beer geek spot in Ottawa, and a solid general pub too. |

92 A key place in Ottawa to taste quality beers from around the world. |
84 Belle petite place, bonnes beer. Terrasse pour l’été. Le menu est bon, un peu cher pour certaines bières. Top place à Ottawa avec une bonne sélection. |
64 Located just off the historic Byward Market, this rather modern restaurant scores high on RB but this is probably only justifiable on the grounds of the very impressive selection of bottled beers. I had a flight of six ales from tap, none of which was particularly impressive. The staff are polite and seem to know something about the beer they sell, although some of their policies are rather silly: there is a flight called "the other guys" and it is jot to be revealed to the guest what it consists of until ordered. The food is reasonable but not mindblowing. Quite a pricy place. Normals and lovers of bottled beer mighy have fun there but beer hunters chasing flights would probably be served better elsewhere. |
74 First stop for a beer in Ottawa. Propped up to the bar where a couple of after-work drinkers already there to slake their thirst. The restaurant side was completely dead however it was early week. There’s a decent tap list and it’s a good introduction to some local breweries. Also, check the bottle list for interesting stuff. There’s a nice side patio when the weather is good. Top of the list for beer selection in Ottawa. |
82 Beautiful, sunny Tuesday afternoon in May. The place is almost empty. Not totally surprising, considering it’s mid afternoon after a long weekend. Small food menu, big beer menu. My burger was burnt. Others seemed to be enjoying their food, though. Very friendly, helpful service. Great location. |
