82 Cozy little classic bar, with 6 taps and around 50 bottles, mixing classic and modern brews, focus is in dutch and belgian beers. Rob is passionate and knows his stuff. Warm atmosphere, mostly locals, this bar is not as pretentious as bigger ones in town, but more friendly, where to spend a long session. Really recommended (be quick, cause it´s closing its doors in few months. Rob is moving to Lokaal, bigger place in Haarlem as well) |
76 Cosey old dutch bar, where you can have pretty decent craft beers, play some games have some chat and listen to Neil Diamond. Visited on a sunday, wasnt too crowded. |
72 Old brown bar, lots of wood. Visited on sunday afternoon, where Uiltje and Jopen were packed, but Briljant was very quiet unfortunately. Friendly atmosphere, small but decent selection of a couple of micro’s. Also on bottle there was a nice range of micro and macro. Nice bar. |
82 Good beer but needs more craft beer! |
82 One of the cosiest streets in The Netherlands, small and somewhat domestic. You wouldn’t expect such a nice and cosy bar in this kind of place/neighboorhood. Good selection, specially tap beers, fantastic. Very friendly owner/bar personel. In for a chat and know 100% what they are doing! Cosy brown wooden interior and atmosphere. A very nice place to spend an evening drinking good beers! |
74 (Visited Feb 2014) Nice and friendly beer café. It’s a couple of hundred meters south of the Jopenkerk, which I visited on the same day. And it’s quite the opposite. This is a small and cosy café with a friendly staff and a calm and friendly atmosphere, mainly inhabited by locals. They had 6 taps, mainly from Dutch micro breweries. The bottle selection is not huge, but well chosen and quite interesting, mainly with Dutch and Belgian micros. Definitely a stop when in Haarlem. |

80 Nicely located between houses in the city center of Haarlem. Selection amounts to about 50 beers, mostly Belgian classics and Dutch microbreweries. Owner is friendly and very enthusiastic about beer. |
66 Small cafe somewhat hidden between the houses is the centre of Haarlem. Quite a large selection of beers. Passionate about their beers, but quickly (too) crowded. |
72 An old backstreet brown bar in picturesque downtown Haarlem. They have around 8 tap beers and quite a few bottles too. The servjce is great and they are passionate about their beer, so that’s good enough for me! Check it out. |
