20 This place is bigger than it looks from the outside and is packed and hard to navigate. They have an ok selection but the service is non existent and when you do track down someone that works there they don’t know anything about the product.
They have a 12 growler station and are very stingy will the fill and I was told that this was store policy. Bay ridge in Annapolis is a much better option and worth the drive past this place. |
56 Decent liquor store with a good selection of craft beer, lots of unrefrigerated 4-6 packs and an okay amount of large format bottles. Handful of coolers along the back with refrigerated beers. Okay prices, about on par for Maryland. Service was non-existent for me but they were quick to help a young female. Employees seemed more interested in joking around, overheard an Asian joke with stereotypical Asian accent which was kind of off-putting and awkward. Surly male cashier acted like I’d pissed in his Cheerios or something. An okay stop in the area but not a great first impression. |
80 I stopped by Fishpaws on a cold and dreary, rainy Friday afternoon in January to peruse their selection. The building is fairly large, particularly related to other DC/NoVA/Baltimore shops. Upon entering there is a deli counter to the right, liquors and wines to the left and straight ahead. Behind all that is the beer selection, several wire shelves and a cooler. At the very end o the store is their new 8-tap growler station, which was quite busy this particular evening. Prices are prominently displayed on nearly every bottle and pack, and were lower on many items that I have seen in any of the area stores I frequent. The staff let me shop but were willing and eager to help at a moment’s notice. I was at the checkout with four large format bottles and the cashier clued me into the 15% discount on six or more, so I continued shopping. Fishpaws is a bit off the beaten path, but definitely a store that will enter my shopping rotation. |
80 Stopped in here while back home in MD for Xmas. Neat store with a deli that smells amazing. Lots of wine and liquor up front with beer shelves in the back. Loads of local stuff like Flying Dog, Evo, and Weyerbacher. Snagged some Gillian and Halia along with an Alllagash Midnight Brett and Maine Beer Tom. Prices were a little steep with BCBS (a few 4-packs) and BCBW (a few bottles) sitting on the shelf at $9 a bottle. Overall a solid selection of stuff I can’t get in Florida. Decent service with a guy helping people pick out Xmas gift beers for loved ones. Worth stopping in. |
84 Good beer selection, they bring in some harder to find beers that Corridor dosent even get. But its a little pricey. They have a $1 over cost day for beer and wine/spirits in Feb. 6 bottles nets your 15% off! DELI CLOSED! |
64 Nice Beer selection, not great, but nice....all the basics you would expect in a good beer store. A little pricy, but convenient due to location & they have food/deli. I prefer Dawsons myself, better selection/prices, more of a destination store, but this place is OK. |
82 A very nice little shop with a Deli, liquor, and really good beer. The beer selection wasn’t the largest I’ve ever seen, but definitely keep my interest for an hour of so. They had discounts and sales and Bob was really knowledgeable and fun to talk with. If you’re nice to him and buy lots of beer, he might even let you use his rest room. |
78 Nice for a liquor store. Pretty good selection- they seem to broadly stock lots of choices from the breweries they carry. Bobby was happy to help. Ordered some Reuben’s to-go and they were pretty tasty. Prices were decent and we got a volume discount which was nice. |
72 Nice beer store. They had about 3 coolers of craft 6-packs and a good build a 6-pack selection. The kid was eager to help me and seemed like he had some good knowledge but I wasnt looking to be helped. Nice place for food and other items too. Will be going back. |
62 Nice deli, good selection of beer but nothing extraordinary; rather pricey. Worth stopping in if you’re going by or in the area but nothing to really go out of your way for. |
