82 Old gas station with the brewery inside, and a little shop next to it with some growler taps, merch and some cans and bottles though not a huge selection. This place looks absolutely amazing, part like a squat, part chic trendy stuff. Very friendly people working here. Awesome. Prices are good for growlers, cans and bottles a bit more expensive. |
94 À faire absolument. C’etait LA chose à faire sur ma liste en arrivant à Wellington. Brewerie + TapRoom ;) |
80 Great little cellar door. The brewery is literally an old gas station, and the decor is very modern industrial chic. Staff are very friendly, and extremely willing to let you try all the growler taps / talk you through the beers. Decent bottle selection at standard liquor store prices, and a bunch of merch too. |
84 A killer brewery tasting room in Wellington. Looks like a gas (or is it petrol to these people?) station coming in. Ends up being a brewery. Who knew. Met a dude there also a Bay Area American. Stop ruining my exotic Kiwi cultural experience, American dude. But anyway, beers. They are good. The GP is one of the more innovative breweries in the N-zed, but admittedly they save a bunch of the more crazy stuff for 91 Aro (a sales pitch that sent me over to 91 Aro, but to be fair it lived up to the hype). Try about 7-8 beers for free, then leave with a bottle or some paraphernalia or whatnot. Good times. Get ticks. |
78 2016-05-29. The shop at this audaciously graffitied brewery set in a former gas station is mostly for rigger fills (and photos outside!) but they can do samples as well. Staff was super friendly and chatted with us about our samples, the setup and hours of the shop vs. the tap room up the street, all of which was helpful information. |

72 One of the jewels in the Wellington city craft beer crown. Off-license only but a ’tasting’ session is not something you want to miss when in town. Head over the road to their new bar at 91 Aro street for a pint (or two). |
84 A must visit when in Wellington! |
92 We stopped in here a day or two after Beervana 2014 during a brewery crawl thru Wellington. The brewery is in an old mechanics station. The main brewery and tasting room take up the main building with the packaging line in the side building. No pints to be bought here but you can taste all they have on. Growlers and bottle purchases only. Since it was Beervana weekend, they temporarily turned the packaging building into a bar, which was awesome. There, we bought pints and some food truck food. A real nice festival like atmosphere. The employees were both knowledgable and enthusiastic. They don’t offer tours but we managed to talk one of the friendly staff into a short walk around and explanation of their operations. A first class brewery and a must stop in Wellington. |
80 Great vibe - right in the brewery. Excellent range of beers to taste and take away. Staff knowledgeable and helpful. |
