What a place: for hard-to-find beer, first class "whole" foods and more. For it’s size, small to small-medium, this store has the best selection/variety of craft beer in North Florida. The beer section manager drowland is a serious beer selector with first hand knowledge of practically every example. If he doesn’t have it, he’ll tell you where to find it if still available. It’s a great pleasure to shop here and recommend it to any beer-traveler going through JAX!

This place is fantastic. Wonderful variety, lots of excellent breweries, extremely good prices. I visited here during RBWG 2013. Grassroots sponsored the event and overall the place just seems fantastic. The people who work there are friendly and helpful. Aside from the beer the market has tons of great food on offer. If you’re in Jacksonville this spot is a must-visit.

Visited here on my way to Jax beach, the sunday after the RBWG grand tasting. Hungover as shit from a 2pm-430am tasting, the juice and smoothie bar was more than welcome. Got a few italian sour fruit beers, a water, and a smoothie and was on my way. Beer selection is killer, thanks to Dr. Owl. ALso, their were hot young ladies everywhere I wish I didn’t have to leave. Very granola, would fit well in my town.

A locally owned whole foods type place with an awesome beer selection thanks to drowland. Friendly staff that knows their stuff and can help you when needed. Beer selection is pretty superb considering the space allotted. Solid pricing and even some steals (like Oaked Hoppy Monster for $4.99 a 4 pack). A great bottle shop tucked inside an organic grocery store.

Stopped in here while in town for RBWGJX. A lot like a whole foods with a nice beer selection ranging from locals to imports. Some beers in coolers, most on shelves. Friendly service.

This store’s beer selection is broad and diverse. The selection is small, but they have an excellent beer manager there who has put together a great mix of top rated beers, the better local and regional micros and a good selection of Imports.. I can’t really compare to much other than the ABC liquors I’ve been in in Florida and it’s far better than those. The best price for Ballast Point Sculpin that I have seen in either GA or NC by several dollars. A big plus is that they want to support the beer community and ratebeer more than just be a beer store.

This is a great grocery/beer store in downtown Jacksonville. Selection is great, and their service is flawless. Not only were they super-friendly, but their Platinum sponsorship of RBWG was beyond generous! And I can’t say enough about how helpful drowland is! Awesome place, and even better people.

With some of the talk I’d heard about this place, I actually went in expecting a larger selection. It’s not bad, but it’s a small store to start with and it’s a grocery store in addition to the beer. That being said, the selection is extremely high quality. They probably have the same number of bottles as the typical full-size grocery store, except none of the beer is crap. Nice store. Pleasant staff. What they should do, however, is to get rid of most of the dry goods and produce and just be a beer, wine, meat, and cheese store. That would be awesome. They’re free to take my advice. They should probably realize I have no business experience, however.

Stopped by here in October ’12 on my way to Savannah. Small, but fully stocked beer store that disguises itself as a natural food store. The beer is the first thing you encounter when you walk in the door. A few hundred different beers, most available in singles. A few in some coolers, but most on warm shelves. All the major craft brands are represented here with a nice emphasis on locals. Picked up a dozen or so new ratings without even really trying. Nice prices - some bombers at $4.99 which I tend to gravitate towards when seeking quantity - but plenty of more expensive selections available. Eclectic selection of imports - some stuff I have never seen before. Service helpful, but not overbearing - clerk was familiar with Ratebeer and pointed out all the new stuff for me. Not too far off the beaten path - will become a regular stop on my way through town.
