82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 UDBeernut (91) Near Buffalo, New York | April 24, 2013 went here to grab some locals before i left town. Arranging the beers by style made it a longer trip. The selection is good, mostly six packs and bombers, but there is a small self of singles to make a 6 pack. I was a bit surprised, by reading reveiws I figured the place would be bigger than it was. To be honest, more than half the place was wine. Beer selection was good, but I suspect that it would be no diferent than any other bottle shop in the area up to snuff. It filled my needs to tick on SC, NC, and some other locally distributed Atlanta area brewed beers. | 88 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 18/20 msante79 (335) Mount Prospect, Illinois | April 8, 2013 While it did not have the bottle selection I was hoping for, I must say that is a pretty complete store for the beer nerd. Very, very nice growler selection, pretty damn solid homebrewing selection of equipment and ingredients, and sold bottle selection. Good service and atmosphere. Throw in some hard to find bottles and this could be close to the perfect store. I wish they would refrigerate there hops though. | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 rbrazell (24) Tallahassee, Florida | February 25, 2013 Huge warehouse full of beer, wine, and home brew supplies. Also, Growler Town is great and feature some nice one offs for you to take home. Knowledgable friendly staff. One main reason I came here is so i can pick apart six packs because Green’s wouldn’t let me. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 bytemesis (214) Sunnyvale, California | February 11, 2013 Most of their beer is on unrefrigerated shelves, including a lot of IPA/DIPAs that don’t like it there. Nothing worse than an IPA with dust on the bottle. That being said, the selection is pretty good, but not amazing or anything. I thought I would like the organization by style, but it was a bit annoying to me. I picked up a bunch of Clown Shoes, and their Bells selection was pretty nice. Staff was helpful, and seemed to know what they were talking about. | 86 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 Travlr (999) Washington, Washington DC | February 11, 2013 Amazing selection, organized by style, so it’s a bit confusing at first, but works well enough. Sadly I had a flight to catch, but I’ll have to come back here and have a field day. For this visit, I browsed, just like it was a library or a used book store. Great way to pass the afternoon, after lunch at 5 Seasons, and before coffee at Octane. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 frylock (76) Atlanta, Georgia | December 30, 2012| Updated February 23, 2013 Great store with a huge selection. Arranged by style rather than brewery, which is kind of annoying to me but not that big a deal. Many items on the shelf were not priced which was another annoyance. Huge growler filling station with many beers that are tap only. They also sell homebrewing supplies and appeared to have a nice wine selection. Directly next to 5 seasons westside. Definitely worth stopping by.
| 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 nocsimian (1) Georgia | December 4, 2012| Updated February 23, 2013 It is a candy store for beer lovers. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 PaulUnwin (96) Pinellas Park, Florida | August 26, 2012| Updated February 23, 2013 Good choices, plenty I can’t find in Florida, and thats why I went there, came away with some good beers. | 92 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 deyholla (200) Oklahoma City, Oklahoma | August 4, 2012| Updated February 23, 2013 A nice large store geared towards beer. People their are very knowledgeable about their beer and the hold homebrew classes. Selection is top notch with tons of bottles and even a growler station with 60 taps!!! Prices aren’t the lowest in town, but they are very competitive and I am happy to pay a slight premium for the selection. Best store in ATL in my opinion! | 98 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 19/20 Cybercat (138) Georgia | May 24, 2012| Updated February 23, 2013 This is THE place to buy beer in Atlanta! Beers are arranged by type so you can easily find what sort you like best - stouts, IPAs or whatever. They have a lot of beers that I have never seen anywhere else in the Atlanta area. The employees are very helpful and well trained but not intrusive, and will quickly guide you to the sort of brews you are seeking. They are also very efficient at the cash register, and you can join a free club to get discounts on your purchases. Finally, parking is plentiful and they are easy to find. I will visit this place again and again and again. |
