54 8 taps of very average beers, nothing especial. Absolutely non-professional pouring :(
Priced very reasonable. Making flights, but only pre-set, so no reason to take what they want you to drink. Seems good place for having after work party, but not for beer funs. |
60 Big, rather average looking place in the north of austin, big bar, mediocre beers, good service. |
70 Nice little place with good food and average beers. Beer prices are great and service was good. Lots of beer on tap. Worth checking out. |
68 I’ve had many good beers from them in the past, but I was slightly dissapointed. Completely packed parking lot on a Saturday night. 5 taps indicated on the board (turns out there were actually 7 if you asked). Two versions of the bourbon Schwarz. Beers were up to standards. Appetizer sampler was quite tasty, the entree I had was decent. Bottles to go. Not that cheap of a stop. Overall it was an okay visit. |

FIrst stop in Austin. This place is on the edge of town right off the freeway. This is a large restaurant with a pretty good sized brewing system. Actually, the large grain silo out front makes it seem larger but the fact is that they sell all their beer in house. They had 8 house beers on tap at the time, of which some of them were better than they get credit for here. My favorites were the Py Jingo Pale and the bourbon schwartzbier. The food was alright, about average for a brew pub. They have some fancier dishes but I scrolled past that stuff. Prices were high. |
70 Really nice place that feels more like a restaurant than a pub. Only a handful of beer on tap and all are the brew pubs beer, but nice variety. Good, cheap food n with good service. Worth checking out if you’re in the neighborhood. |
70 Pretty decent place. Good atmosphere and some fine selections of beer, especially in their speciality range. Better food than beer though. |
80 A nice brewpub with very good food located in the Arboretum area of Austin. The bar has about eight taps, only serving NxNW beer. Many of the year round beers are average at best, but the brewery’s sour beers and some of the special beers can be very good. The food is also very good, the best of all the Austin brewpubs. The pub occasionally bottles beers and sells them for off-premises consumption. They will also fill any growlers, regardless of which brewery they are from. |
78 Excellent restaurant, definitely no doubt. Great food. Good staff. Their in-house beer doesn’t seem to be that good though, I had the "sampler" and the beers they gave were not great, but not bad. Go there to eat, but not drink. |
50 Man, this place makes some very tasty special brews, their kriek is truly killer!! .. the food is pretty good, and the location is pretty but quite out the way, that’s the only knock .. . have sometimes have bottles for say and huge growlers too ($$) .. . they make great beer here and its a nice scenic drive.. :update: but when nothing special is on, not even close to being unique... |
