Decent English pub with some local brews on tap. Nice beers too. OK service and athmosphere. Visited on Monday evening, which is of course not too busy.

Traditional real ale pub with 4 house beers from the village brewer (White Boar Bitter, Bull Premium Bitter, Old Raby Ale, & Burton Bridge classic burton ale) and 7 guest ales available, plus a large range of 9 continental beers on tap. Very busy in the evenings, quieter during the day. Does 4 and 8 pint carryouts, also wines, spirits and food.

Obvious ale house, probably the best option in town.

Probably the best real ale pub in Darlington, only The Quakerhouse and The Old Yard Tapas Bar may come close. A changing selection of well kept casks. Good food at lunchtime. Friendly and helpful staff. Recommended by local CAMRA.
