66 Long and rather narrow room, with a ditto long L-shape bar. On our stay there were four Village ales available. All their draught beers, including ten cask ales, were available in thirds. Decorated with lots of mirrors. Quite busy late on a Wednesday afternoon, visited by a variety of clients. Polite service. (Visited with Finn, 29.01.2020). |
72 Nice pub that brews their own beers. 10 casks and 4 of their own were available. Must visit, if in Durham. |
72 Cosy brewpub with four of their own beers on at our visit. Friendly service and chatty locals. Nice, dark brown interior. |
68 Cozy place with a ok selection. |
66 Nice cousy well kept traditional English pub
Ok rang of cask ales. Also some of their own on my visit
About 15 min walk from the train station
But I would recommend ORB 5m up the road for a larger beer selection

84 For me this pub serves the best beer in the town temperature and condition wise for sure never had a bad ale or service in here. |
70 Shop unit public house beautifully period styled with wood panels, carpet areas and cosy corners. It has its own range of cask beers along with guests dotted around the 'L' shaped bar, with two of its half dozen own beers brewed at the back of the pub and the rest elsewhere. |
74 Visited July 2018. Large cosy pub.. nice amount of seatings, more in the back.. Large bar area in the middle part of the pub.. Nice selection of beers, had a few ones of their own... Beers are served in good condition.. Free WiFi and a very friendly and talkative service.. |
74 Visited 8/5/2018 on Danlo's Darlington tour. Comfortable surroundings, decent choice of well kept ales, nice environment. Another of Darlington s must visit places. |
