Showed up on a random Friday night which turns out to be Russian River night. F yea! 20+ Russian River beers on tap.... and vinnie opens up a 2007 supplication (9 litre)... I am sure this is not the normal but this was the icing on the cake of a great day/night. Overall the place seems pretty chill for such an event and well worth the trip!

You wouldn’t expect to find this place in its particular shopping center. Surrounded by Korean shops and restaurants, it’s located in a small shopping center. Parking is tight and limited, so you’re better off just parking around the corner on the street. Small interior with a patio space out front. Service was quick and the place was packed. Nice selection on this visit as it was Russian River weekend and also their anniversary. Nice prices, too. Definitely worth a stop. Didn’t eat anything, but the food looked and smelled great.

Busy place with no parking to be found. Despite the lines I got my beers pretty quickly. Sat outside and enjoyed some 10/19 and 19/10 along with some Compunction. Cool place and good prices. Not really near anything I want to visit but I think I will be returning.

The owner is a real beer expert. I was in this beer pub 8 years ago and have to come back. I am still reading regularly the newsletters, impressive initiatives.

Great cozy atmosphere with a good selection of beers. Typical pub fare. The outdoor seating had some great heaters, so you can be outside all year; it was also nice because I could have my dog sit in the patio area.

First let me start off by saying the burgers here are finominal. And they are soccer fans. But it is very worth visiting. The service here is also excellent

Hard to rate O’Brien’s normally as I was there for Million Zillion Speedway night- and well, if that doesn’t get a 15/15 for selection I don’t know what would. Ambiance is cozy, relaxed sports bar. Decent amount of patio seating. TVs abounding. Long wooden bar to sit at or grab some small, snug tables. Tap list is updated regularly on a dry-erase board. Staff were quick and efficient. Location is a bit out there in a suburban strip mall. Plus side is lots of free parking and a ton, like 20, Asian restaurants around like Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese, Japanese, hot pot specialties, Ramen specialties. Really good stuff. Food at O’Brien’s is upgraded bar food: Parmesan garlic fries, loaded nachos. Everything was good, but more snacking type stuff. Staff handled the chaos of the event very well. Everyone there got to try all 16 Speedways, which seems impossible to me. Even allowed full 10oz pours of the varieties after the line died down to nothing. Really impressed with the logistics here. Like for the rest of San Diego, the beer community is closely knit so strike up a conversation with someone if you are by yourself. You’ll learn a lot and have more fun. Value, I mean $8 for a 10oz pour of Coconut Vanilla Speedway? Good lord.

Visited 4/ 23. J shape bar, dozen seats. 10 inside tables. 20.plus outside, covered outside. Food good. I had fish torta, wife had jalapeno chicken salad. Both were specials . Draft list good, heavy west coast slant. Impressive bottle list. It’s in a strip.mall so ambience is mixed. Certainly worth visit when in San Diego.

It was a while back that I went but remember it very fondly and would most definitely make stop there through on my next trip. It’s an odd location and ambience....normally the strip mall dive bar thing wouldn’t work, at least not outside of CA. But this totally does, in part because it is imbued with spirit of the crazy quantity of amazing beer that has been poured here. The beer list is their own and sits in the excellent classic and only-in-SD-local variety that doesn’t seem to care too much about trends. High marks in overall for this. The bartenders were great. I don’t remember much about the food but it certainly wasn’t bad.
