Second stop on trip with sister and brother in law. Pretty quiet on a Tuesday afternoon. Bartender was really friendly and knowledgable. They had sample flights for their core beers, but I just ordered what I wanted. Prices seemed fair for Oakland. Street parking was not difficult, but again this was Tuesday afternoon. Kind of an interesting place inside, older decor. Bathrooms downstairs which takes you past the brewing equipment and barrel storage. They have a cool display in the back of tap handles from now defunct CA breweries, which is kind of interesting - the "Graveyard." Beers were alright. Apparently they have a new brewer who has transitioned them from an extract house to all grain, which should help moving forward.

Visited on a Friday evening in November 2015. Itís a large brewpub with a large outdoor area. Plenty of seating inside, itís not too comfortable but is decent enough. Tried a sample flight but had tried one of the beers on it. Asked to swap for the BA Leviathan which was told $5 extra! Sucked it up (actually was $2 extra) hence the low service mark. Beer was decent enough but wouldnít make a special trip just to go there.

It has taken me a while to try this place out, but I was not disappointed. We sat on the patio out back, which was nice in spite of the cars driving past, and trashy people yelling at each other on the street. This is in downtown Oakland afterall. The service was decent. The beer was good. The food was excellent. I had a good time, and will definitely return.

This Oakland landmark has existed since 1988, serving a wide range of their brews along with a few guest taps. There is a nice bar with around a dozen stools and quite a few tables located nearby. The food is pretty good though not exceptional. Nice ambiance.

Big restaurant and bar. The place was clean but old and unkept, could use a remodel. The beer was decent, nothing special. The food was good, fair service.

Standard brew pub, very safe and is a crowd pleaser with my co-workers who drink bud light otherwise. Beer was standard, safe, and hitting all the generic brew pub styles. I forget the beer I have had here, for whatever that means. Place is always busy happy hour time. If Applebee's opened a brew pub, this would be it. I am not putting this place down, you'll have fun, but I will be at Trappist down the street.

Visited numerous times over the last 4 years when in the area for Trappist or Beer Revolution.

The atmosphere can be a bit depressing as itís quiet, dirty looking (just worn down wood furniture really), and on a quiet street. The house beers arent great either but ocasionally theyíll have a good guest tap.

I hate to badmouth a brewery but this is a stop I make once every year or two to see whatís new.

Visisted in Sep í08 on a Saturday evening and once again a few nights later. Largely drank their own beers which were ok but nothing special. Good ambiance and friendly staff who I got chatting to. Only came here as we were staying at the Marriot a few blocks away so definately not worth the trip under the bay but if youíre in Oakland itís worth popping into.
