This is the second Southport Brewing stop of the day. The first one was pretty bad (Stamford) but this one is in a nicer area and the beers were much cheaper. Actually the beers were almost too cheap. I got a flight of 6 for $6 plus tax, so I left the whole $10 bill. It seems to be self seating outside but you can only get service out there if you’re ordering food. So I went to the bar and ordered and took the copper pipe/handle thing to the table. The beer at this location is slightly better than the first one that I stopped at (Stamford) but that might be because of the beers that I ordered. Service was friendly enough but since I wasn’t eating there wasn’t much interaction with them.

Over all I wouldn’t make this a destination but sitting out on the patio on a warm summer day made for a nice experience.

had a sampler. also some port. bun on my burger was rather moist on the bottom. connecticut pale ale was solid. easily my favorite beer of the six i tried. pork nachos were pretty good. upscale brewpub, but nothing about the place was terribly memorable.

Much better than the Stamford location and good location right off I-95. I like this location better because there is a separate eating area away from the bar. Their house beers aren’t bad and are $3 for happy hour. They make solid burgers and the staff is friendly.

This is the best of all the SBC locations I have been too. The beer is so so but the atmosphere is pretty nice if not chain restaurant like - which can be a good thing and bad thing. The food is OK but i would stick to the burgers and aps. The beers are not so great but good for the area. an enjoyable place to have a beer with a friend.

went for lunch and some beers today after not having been here for probably two years. happy to see they are making better beer than in the past and the food was excellent as it has always been. children’s menu was great (if this applies) and so was the grilled cheese in it. service was good contrary to others experiences but it was empty when we were there. will go back again as this is a great family weekend lunch sorta place.

Apart of a strip mall, but looks much better once you’re in there. I used go here some Thursdays for Karaoke. The food is decent, better than the beer atleast. The staff are jerks. One time I had a waiter giving me and my friends shit for tipping only 10% after he double charged us for drinks. True story. The bartenders, for the most part, are also arrogant low life’s. If there was another brewpub close by i probably never go back to this place.

Stopped by here on my way home from RI. Got there @ 3pm on a Sunday, so the only crowd was in the bar watching Football. 10 beers on tap broken into 2 sampler trays for $5/ea. Great kids menu. Service was slow even though our waitress only had 1 other table. They served by daughter a box of Cheerios that was 4 months past its due date. They had one of the best kids menus I’ve seen, but out of date cheerieos (what, don’t you think we don’t check or taste our kids food)? My food was OK, but gotta knock downt he rating because of the Kids food. Beer was below average too.

Big corporate looking brewpub. When I was there. the bartender was completely arrogant. I asked for the IPA... he tells me IPAs are sweet... do I like sweet beer? IPAs are sweet huh... guess I missed the memo... now what he should have said is that their IPA is sugary because their dirty yeast crapped out during fermentation leaving an underattenuated mess. In a way... that was better than the dirty fusely character of the beer he actually recommended. Bad attitude, bad service, bad beer. Don’t bother.

Out of all the SBC locations, this is the best one and their central original location. They typically have 2-3 seasonals in addition to their year around offerings and their beers seem to get rotated more regularly than their other locations. The food is decent but overpriced typical brewpub fare and their ambiance has that typical industrial look many brewpubs seem to like. If going to an SBC, this is the one to go to.
