Perfectly decent place in a pedestrianised zone near the main square. High-ceilinged and terraced. Incessant b....y music of course, though the staff need something to distract them from the peace that would otherwise descend I guess. No beers that push boundaries. Food is burgers, so ditto.
More gastropub than a restaurant, in the city center. They have sitting place on the pedestrian area and inside. Selection is ok, service is ok. Visit if you are around.

Ratebeer, stop losing my fucking place reviews. Not as wide a range as the other Oluthuone pubs, but always worth popping your head round the door in case there’s something special. Sometimes they have the monthly themed beers after other pubs have run out. Staff friendly, and good English spoken. Food is delicious.
Good and Friendly service. Food came quite quick although the fries were a bit small for 4 euros. Self made ketchup was thick puree with herbs. I think I still want to go back to the place and give a try to their hamburgers. Bartender knew how to describe the beer I asked her for so OK service.
A modern looking heavy metal burger bar in the centre of the city. Firstly the burgers are great and the service pretty good. The tap beer selection had some interesting beers but many average pub beers too. The wifi was solid but the heavy metal was off putting. They didn’t have a beer list either so I had no idea what they had in bottles. The place could be a lot better. It’s horribly expensive too. The burgers are good but 15+ Euros? It was also 9+ Euros for 0.4l of Scandinavian ale. The going rate here is 7+ for half a litre. I would not return on a cost basis which probably explains why the place was empty on a Thursday night, when other places close by were relatively full.
My first visit to this joint was right after it was opened some years ago. I didn’t consider it as a beer place but an ordinary chain restaurant with boring beer selection. After the Mikkeller Tap Takeover I’ve visited the place couple of times and there is some light at the end of the tunnel. The selection varies from modest to decent. The staff is more like food serving people and doesn’t know the beers. But as I said there’s hope.
NEW: This place has improved a lot. The recent Mikkeller Tap Takeover was very nice with friendly prices and the staff knowing their way around the beers. The old voting system is apparently out, but they’ve got only four or five regular taps now with six or seven rotating ones which is really nice. Service is pretty fast now though ordering these days is preferred to be done on the counter, not in the tables.
OLD: A beer & burger joint with a twist: One of the taps is voted in at their website. A decent selection, but nothing that great. Sometimes - when Lady Luck smiles - something great gets voted in and you can have Nøgne IPA from tap with your burger, but it’s rare. Slow service to the tables, friendly, but not very forthcoming or knowledgeable. Quite pricey, even by Helsinki standards. Food is decent, small portions and a bit pricey them too. (3-6-7-6-4-13)
This centrally located place started out as a "gastropub" but has now turned into a burger joint. Pretty tasty burgers and a nice selection of beers on tap, the bottle selection is quite small and the prices can be quite high, though. Modernish decor, lots of space to eat downstairs. They recently had a Mikkeller tap takeover which was extremely well received, hopefully they will continue to host events like that.
Not the greatest selection of beer, but we went here mainly because we were hungy. Fairly decent selection of beer, but nnot the most interesting one, but the burgers were very nice. Not large portions, but tasty. Convenient place a a burger and some beers, but there are plenty of beer places nearby with more interesting selections. Friendly staff.
