Stopped in early New Year’s Eve and really enjoyed the place. 50 taps lots of good choices. They gave us a beer list, it was printed in August, as the bartender said, lots of beers on them we don’t have and we have lots that are not listed. I didn’t see an updated list anywhere you can check out the tap handles and chat with the server. Staff know the beer. Solid beer location.

Visited uptown location. Long tap list, serving flights of four but I wasn’t able to pick 4 - most beers were not impressive - lagers, hefes and such, almost no IPAs or sours. Might be the wrong day to visit... I just left and went away.

I went to the one on LaVista Drive in Lakewood. The ONLY reason I went was because the menu on their website says they have "cask conditioned" ales. But the Lakewood location didn’t have them, and I was told the Boll St location only had something left over from Xmas. So, I can’t recommend a place that doesn’t have what they say they have.

Nice place with friendly staff and a long tap list. Bottle selection only decent though. There during the day so not packed but a fair amount of people nonetheless.

Pretty solid place for a good beer in Dallas. Prices aren’t the greatest, but the service is always pretty good and the selection is pretty good too.

The Ginger Man Dallas location is the 3rd I have been lucky enough to visit. It is located on Boll Street in Uptown Dallas. We took Uber there so not sure about the parking situation, appeared to be a small lot for Ginger Man but mostly street.

The red house has a porch outside, and opens immediately to the bar area. The bar is on the right, and there are tables and booths on the left. A chalkboard runs along the top of the bar listing the beers on draught, and tap handles are visible behind it. There is a large beer garden in the back too.

As far as the tap list there are around 75, with many Texan breweries represented (starred on the beer menu), including Rabbit Hole, Real Ale, Deep Ellum, Rahr, St. Arnold, (512) and Revolver. There are a couple cask offerings and many seasonals. Flights are available, including a Belgian, European and Texas Seasonal. The bottled menu is around 100 with a mix of domestic and imports from all over.

Service on a busy Friday night was pretty good. The server was on top of things and had a pretty good grasp of the beer menu. Ginger Man does many beer events so they are obviously invested in the scene.

We did not try any food on our visit.

Overall I am a fan of Ginger Man, and the Dallas location is a worthwhile spot to visit in the downtown area.

A beer bar in a house. No frills, just a place to sit, drink good beer, catch up with friends. Fine list with plenty of Texas options and a good diversity of styles. Can’t wait to return.

Visited February 2012.

Another Ginger Man visited, this one in Dallas. Similar lay out as the rest. Dark interior, good music on the jukebox (mostly classic rock on this one), lots of beers to pick from, decent service, and decent food. The beer list is extensive but like all the locations not the most inventive. You can get half a dozen Stone, New Belgium, and Shiner taps along with a few of the other local breweries that don’t have tasting rooms. The draft list is definitely a "bigger is better" concept. All that said it’s still a fun place to hang out and they’ll do samples. There is a nice patio to hang out on as well.

Visited early afternoon on a Wednesday. Cool older building just outside of the downtown Dallas core. Street parking and a decent Ginger Man only parking lot. Indoors is am comfy two story house layout, with a long bar. Patio in front, beer garden in back. It was a sunny day so I sat out pack and had a couple beers while I got work done. Service was great, laid back vibe. I liked this place a lot.

82 = ★★★½ (Solid place, near the top of the list for locals and visitors)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.

Best beer place I could find in Dallas. I liked the beer garden in particular. Quite good beer selection and food is good too.
