Visited early afternoon on a Wednesday. Cool older building just outside of the downtown Dallas core. Street parking and a decent Ginger Man only parking lot. Indoors is am comfy two story house layout, with a long bar. Patio in front, beer garden in back. It was a sunny day so I sat out pack and had a couple beers while I got work done. Service was great, laid back vibe. I liked this place a lot.

Best beer place I could find in Dallas. I liked the beer garden in particular. Quite good beer selection and food is good too.

Dropped by here with Mar after a tasting at the Covey. Parking was a bit tight since it is in an older part of town. The building is rather old too but with charm-o-plenty. It seemed to have a southern home sort of feel as you ascend the stairs to a front porch sort of area and then entered the space. Busy place where there was just enough room at the bar for a few more. You seem to creak across the wood floors as you move around. The place seemed friendly and the staff was efficient. Decent enough selection where a few local offerings are highlighted. Nifty experience. I’ll be back here if I make it to this part of the country again.

Nice spot in uptown Dallas. It’s pretty chill (on Sunday) and has a nice shaded backyard. The selection is good given my low expectation coming to Texas. Enjoyable place.

I really enjoyed the lived-in ambience of the old house. Multiple visits over the years uncovered an uninspired selection of drafts, with only occasional brilliance.

Great ambiance especially if you’re looking for a nice place to kick back that isn’t the typical Uptown/West Village scene. If the weather is nice, the front and back patios are always a great choice. Good selection of beers and they always have some special and seasonal taps rotating through. Could use some more variety of the rotating taps. The food is definitely a step above most bar food but I wouldn’t go there just for the food. Easily my favorite place in Dallas to go grab a beer.

Stopped in on a slow Sunday night. We were really the only one there. Cool bar and awesome patio. Nice tap selection made up of local and region beers. Didn’t try the food but menu good. Liked the tap selection better at Common Table and Meddlesome Moth, but there is plenty of quality choices available. Cool place to have a beer.

Visited on a very hot afternoon. I visited quite early in the day, and had the run of the place pretty much to myself. My bartender was quite nice, and happy to offer samples. I can’t comment on how it is when it’s actually busy, but I found the ambiance laid back and pleasant. The jukebox has some nice options, and there seemed to be a pretty nice beer garden out back. The tap selection was pretty solid, though I heard some grumblings that it doesn’t turn over as much as it used to. On my visit I enjoyed some nice locals from 512. They also offer some macro stuff in addition to all the craft offerings, something the other craft places in Dallas didn’t seem to do. Overall, The Ginger Man feels a little more scruffy than some of the other places I visited in Dallas, but it’s definitely worth a look in.

Love this location compared to the new one in the Shops @ Legacy since this is much larger and that one nearly seems like a clique hangout. Just my experience. Great beer selection, best atmosphere in a beer pub that I’ve seen and just a downright good time. Located inside a large wooden house with a cool biergarten out back. Not counting how far I would have to drive to go here, this is my third favorite place to go for a beer.
